- Once you have a date of death, along with an accurate full name, you can look for actual obituaries in online newspaper archives.
- New York Times Archives
- Archives from 1851 - 1922 AND 1987-present are free of charge. Everything in between (1923 to 1986) you have to pay for, for some odd reason.
- Google News
